So it was approching my daughter Maddie's 1st birthday and I was trying to think outside the box to what type of cake smash we could do.

Shes very girly and cute so the first idea that came to mind was a princess or ballerina theme, however shes also very wild so I wanted her to create a pretty big mess her her images.

OMG !!! why didnt I think of this earlier....my favorite food in the world...DONUTSSSS

I love them All...Sugar, Cinnaman, Iced, Sprinkles even Jam

So I created a Donut Stack on a cake stand, covered in a variety of yummy pastel icing and topped with sprinkles.

When I first introcuced Maddie to the donuts she seemed slightly curious but way more interested in grinning for the camera (call her conditioned..i dunno?)

But then after a taste of the sugary sweet goodness...the donuts were soon eaten, thrown and crushed into an ablivion.

Oh did I mention my son Ollie couldn't stand watching from the sidelines one minute longer, so he jumped in too and started crushing them.

Wohooooo Success....and thats how the Donut Smash was born.

Now my two favorite passions are side by side....Cake Smash + Donuts= Greatness
